Alchemy etc. Contained in this volume is Bacon’s Mirror of Alchemy, also including the smaragdine table (better known as the emerald tablet) of Hermes trismegistus; a briefe commentarie of hortulanus; Calid’s book of the secrets of alchimie; an excellent discourse o the admirable force and efficacie of art and nature. With notes and commentary, and appendices of a 1739 commentary and calid’s secret of secrets. Also a glossary of alchemical terms.
